An ongoing series of small oil paintings on canvas board
Salcombe Art Club has a vibrant programme and membership. Each summer they have a member’s exhibition from Easter to end of September. In October with the exhibition cleared the space is taken over by daily and weekend workshops led by well-known professional artists, one of whom is Plymouth University lecturer Martin Brooks whose Still Life weekend workshops the artist has attended.
“Like many of my painting series what started as a single piece grew into a deeper investigation and before long something tells me I have not a finished this exploration of the subject and off I go. It has taken a long to recognise this is a part of my narrative as an artist”.
To date there are eleven finished small works and perhaps more amongst thumbnail sketches in the artist’s development book
